About Me

Having sought therapy for my own sexual difficulties, I have an understanding about how difficult sex and relationship problems can be and how they can impact your life.
I started out as sex & relationship journalist. During this time I interviewed many people about their sex lives. I realised that the definitions of “good sex” and “good relationships” are very personal and that there are many ways to improve communication, increase satisfaction and connect with our bodies.
Following this, I set up a women's support group called Fannying Around. While the name may seem irreverent, the group attracted many people who would not usually seek out a therapist but needed a safe space where they could discuss feeling and thoughts surrounding their bodies and sex lives.
In terms of training, I also have a London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy course, which is NCP approved and accredited by Middlesex University. I am currently working towards an advanced diploma in couples therapy. Attending the Pink Therapy Alternative Sexualities courses helped me further my knowledge of working with kink, fetishes, BDSM, asexuality, compulsive sexual behaviour, condom use (particularly in relation to HIV), gender dysphoria, pansexuality and bisexuality. Many of these areas are skipped over in conventional sex therapy courses.
I am an accredited member of COSRT (College of Sex & Relationship Therapists) and also a member of ATSAC ( Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity), sex offender rehabilitation charity StopSo and Pink Therapy. I'm fully insured and work under the COSRT ethical guidelines – including those related to client confidentiality.
I've featured in publications including: Net Doctor, The Telegraph, DIVA, The Daily Mail, Metro, The Huffington Post, The Evening Standard, Time Out, Company, Fiesta, Forum, Men's Health and Scarlet. I have been a guest on Radio 4's Women's Hour and various shows on LBC. I am also the house therapist for www.thevaginismusnetwork.com.
